Describing the history of the Jews of Vilnius

The "Virtual Shtetl" , a portal of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews is devoted to local Jewish history. Currently, the portal is a source of information but in the future, it will also include an interactive system by which Internet users will interact and colaborate with each other, exchange knowledge and information . It will create a link between the Jewish local history and the contemporary, multi-cultural world.

The "Virtual Shtetl" is a museum without barriers. Its main objective is to provide a unique social forum for everyone interested in Jewish life and legacy. Our goal is to promote tolerance, respect and responsibility. Dedication to teaching history is crucial in creating an aware and conscious society in a modern world.
